The Franklin House- Astoria, OR

We had spent our honeymoon at the Franklin House in Astoria back in May 1991. We thought it would be fun on our 25th anniversary to try and locate it again since we were already in the area.. We drove all over Astoria but the quaint B&B had been taken out of commission and wasn't listed or advertised as we had hoped. We finally found it-with a 'FOR SALE' sign in the front yard. We took that as an OK to walk around outside and snap some pics. There was even some talk of "Hey, WE should buy it and run a B&B and use it as a ministry opportunity!" but of course we have not felt the call to Astoria.. but it was fun to daydream with the kids about it for a bit. :-)

We are very blessed! 25 happy years of serving the Lord as a family...Thank you Lord for blessing us with such amazing children. We pray we can live in a manner worthy of your high calling-teach us daily how to be more surrendered to you, abiding deeper and pressing further into this immense job of parenting and discipleship. May the Lord be glorified!
