Winchester Bay,OR

We headed out to Winchester Bay, OR where the salmon were running. It was really windy and cold but we nevertheless enjoyed some time at the beach. This impromptu shot is so special to us! Our four girls!

Sun is setting!

No bites. :-( Maybe next time boys!

Our big guys! What blessings

Green Peter Lake & South Santiam Hatchery

We, Nana & Papa Ben enjoyed a nice afternoon at Green Peter Lake & Dam. The guys got to try out Ryans new canoe while the ladies stayed behind in a cool camp spot. It was amazing how low the Lake was.

Have fun!

Because the water levels were so low, the drive to the water was very steep. Normally where these cars are parked is under water.

The guys enjoyed fishing and paddling around for a long time

"Lunch is ready!"

Back at the site.. Laura was pretending to start a fire.

Green Peter Lake

Stopping by the dam on the way out was amazing.. look at this drop! a semi trailer at the bottom looked like a matchbox car! :-) Ashley got a bit dizzy looking over to take this!

Heading home we found this hatchery. Grady and the boys thought it would be enjoyable to check out.

The children enjoyed the big tank they had out in front-where we got to watch some mature salmon and sturgeon

Our lineup looked small this day since Amanda had stayed home to take care of some things

Ashley & Ryan treated the family to some Dutch Bros drinks on the way home! Happily, it was happy hour and their bill was pretty low, even for 7 drinks! Thanks guys. Fun day

Seeing Agnes!

We were so happy to see our Liberian 'daughter' Agnes. It had been 9 years since our time in Africa and her time at our home in the States before being placed in her permanent home in Ohio. She had travelled out to the West Coast and contacted us, wanting to meet up if possible. What a blessing to catch up and have lunch with she and another Liberian friend of ours.

It was a very teary reunion with this girl! It was such a joy to see her again!

'When did Ryan grow up!?"

Enjoying a meal together

Sisters

Grace & Laura say goodbye to Munty's sweet girls. He had been so kind to drive her all the way down to Salem to meet up with us. We first met Munty in Liberia in 2006
