Weighty Matters and a Benefit


Each day in the U.S, there are approximately 3,700 babies killed via abortion~
It is the tragedy of our era.... America's holocost.

Of every 100 pregnancies, approximately 28 of them end in abortion..
Let us pray for the hearts of Americans. Let us pray for the babies and their mothers who have been deceived and robbed of the joys of mothering them~


Ashley has been volunteering her time at the local Care Center. She has been blessed beyond measure with the experience so far. The Care Center provides free pregnancy tests, pregnancy counseling, post abortion recovery, Bible studies for their clients as well as providing free baby items.

We recently had the opportunity to attend a benefit concert featuring a local band which mainly consists of homeschooled friends of ours! The band raised funds for the Care Center as well as raising awareness of the services that the Center offers.

Autumn Walk~





The girls had a splendid afternoon playing with Gracie and taking her for a lovely Autumn walk. I have been so busy lately and the girls have been such a blessing to me. What a lovely thing to have your daughters as your greatest allies, helpers and friends.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

Spawning Salmon~ In the Ditch?

A few days ago the river down the hill from us was just about to flooding levels. The ditches alongside the road were filling up with water and were full of spawning salmon! The poor fish thought they were swimming upstream when actually they were swimming up a hill to a dead end ditch. Many of them were flopping up and out of the water all together~ I won't show the incriminating photos of some very helpful children who caught them and redirected them back to the river. At one point, said children were yelled at by a passing vehicle for tampering with the poor protected things. I guess in WA state it is illegal to interfere even if the fish are doomed. Gotta love it!

Many Hands Make Light the Work

The family has been blessed to be able to join Dad in helping fix up the green rental! We love to visit him to provide a bit of assistance and company! Oh and a good cup of coffee now and then! He has been working on this house for close to a month now and it is looking very nice. New paint throughout, kitchen sink, faucet and counter top, new carpeting and refinished wood floors. Out with the green shag carpet and in with the rich hardwood! Love it! Good job honey!

Cider Press 2009~

The Garza's once again hosted a wonderful Cider Press! Folks from fellowships in Snohomish, all over Washington, Idaho and Oregon showed up despite the rain and clouds! While we were not able to enjoy all of the day's activities, we did show up in time to see the women's archery tie-breaking round (Good job Katie!) The pie contest results and the pie auction which raised up toward $1,500 for David Martell's eye surgery, Praise God! Then we were off to the Grange for a very special meeting of the Saints. We so overcrowded the grange with all the folks that the overflow room held their own meeting! It was a blessing to hear the sweet songs and prayers of those who were in the dining room. As our meeting ended, the other meeting was in the middle of 'It is Well With My Soul'. We opened the adjoining door and joined in.. all in one accord. It was one of *those* moments.. There was wonderful teaching, fellowship and prayer. (oh and food! :) ) We are so thankful for the body of Christ and SO enjoy when the body as a whole gathers and are able to lift our hands, hearts and prayers to our Lord and Saviour. It is well with my soul!
